Civic Center Foundation
The Civic Center Foundation is the private, non-profit support arm of the Civic Center Music Hall. Its mission is to ensure a strong and vibrant performing arts presence in Oklahoma City through continued capital improvements and community wide educational outreach.
Foundation History
The Foundation was established in 2001 upon the Grand Re-opening of the Civic Center Music Hall after the MAPS-funded $52.4 million capital renovation to the Center’s main hall. |
In its brief history, the Civic Center Foundation has already provided the Civic Center with continued capital improvements, including a state-of-the art message center.
The next project is a capital renovation of the Freede Little Theatre. With original fixtures dating back to 1936, the Freede Little Theatre stands as a pristine hallmark to our City’s Art Deco past. Preliminary plans are already in the works and the capital campaign is set to kick off in Summer, 2006.
Ways to Help
There are a number of ways you can help the Civic Center Foundation meet its goals.
As a designated 501 (c)(3) organization, the Civic Center Foundation relies heavily upon the support and generosity of performing arts supporters and the community at large. The Civic Center Foundation has initiated several programs to secure community support for its projects.
Seat Back Campaign. You can leave your mark permanently in one of the nation’s premier performing arts facilities, the Thelma Gaylord Performing Arts Theatre. Commemorate a friend, loved one or your favorite performing arts group with the purchase of a seat back plate. Plates are available in the Theatre's orchestra sections for levels of giving of $350, $500 and $1,000.
Your seat is waiting!
Suite Holder Program. You can enjoy your Civic Center experience with the luxury of a private suite and box. The Civic Center Foundation is pleased to offer these suites to our patrons for a minimum five-year investment, which provide private entertaining and exclusive luxury for clients and guests. Suite holders are also privy to many exclusive benefits.
For a complete list of benefits, or for more information regarding our Suite Holder program, please contact us at: info@okcciviccenter.com, or call 405.297.2584.
In achieving its goals, the Foundation will be able to provide local performing arts groups more opportunities to develop and promote their own initiatives, as well as provide local youth with a greater understanding of the vital role arts play in the community.
